KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Baltimore Orioles organization announced on Thursday that former Western Michigan baseball All-American Keegan Akin has been signed to the 40-man roster for the upcoming 2020 season.
In one season in Triple-A with the Norfolk Tides, the left handed pitcher posted a 6-7 record with a 4.73 ERA in 112.1 innings pitched. Akin appeared in 25 contests, starting 24 and was named an International League All-Star.
In Double-A with the Bowie Baysox, Akin was named the 2018 Eastern League Pitcher of the Year after recording a 14-7 record with a 3.
