KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Jordy Walker, an incoming recruit for the Western Michigan women's basketball team, was named to the 2017 McDonald's All-American Nominee list as announced by the game's organizers.

Walker, who will be joining WMU during the 2017-18 season, became the fastest player in Mona Shores High School history to score 1,000 points during her junior season, where she helped lead her squad to their third straight OK Black Conference championship. As a junior, she was selected as an All-State Honorable Mention by Associated Press, BCAM's Best First Team Class, First Team Detroit News Class A and Detroit Free Press First Team.
