Hubbard Hits Game Winner in Final Seconds to Lift WMU at Emerald Coast Classic

NICEVILLE, Fla. – Western Michigan sophomore guard Seth Hubbard hit the game-winning shot with 4.5 seconds remaining to lift the Broncos to a 68-67 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Emerald Coast Classic.

Trailing by four, 65-51, with the clock under two minutes, JaVaughn Hannah connected on a three-pointer to bring the Broncos (1-4) to within one, 65-64. With 30 seconds to play, Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro made a pair of free throws to put Western Michigan up by a point, 66-65. Southeastern Louisiana (1-4) answered on the other end to wrestle the lead back, 67-66.
