How WMU baseball hasn't let their hectic schedule affect their studies

Now, one might wonder how success is possible when they barely even get to touch their home stadium until the season is almost halfway over.

“Water is wet,” head coach Billy Gernon said, jokingly.

It might be a hard schedule, one that is unique to most sports at WMU, but it’s no different to other college baseball teams that reside in states with snowy winters. So, Western Michigan baseball knows that they have no room to make excuses. They just focus on doing their job: winning games and achieving top notch grades in the classroom.

When it comes to the team’s success in the classroom, the players never fail to impress.
