KALAMAZOO, MI – A few different scenarios can put Western Michigan on a path to defend its Mid-American Conference title for the first time in conference history, and all of them start with a win over Northern Illinois on Wednesday.
The Broncos bounced back from a loss to Central Michigan with a 48-20 win over Kent State that saw Jarvion Franklin run for 191 yards and a touchdown en route to MAC West Player of the Week honors.
NIU also rebounded from a Week 10 loss to Toledo with a 63-17 thumping of Ball State last Thursday.
