KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey season came to an end on Monday after suffering a 3-2 loss to Colorado College at Lawson Ice Arena.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead on a power play goal by Westin Michaud at 16:47 in the first period. Michaud beat a Bronco defenseman on the goal line and skated in on WMU goalie Trevor Gorsuch for his 12th goal of the season.
WMU answered with 1:11 remaining in the second period. Austin Rueschhoff banged in a rebound on an initial shot by Josh Passolt for his 12th goal of the season.
