Hockey Moves Up to No. 7

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan hockey team moved up one spot to No. 7 in both the DCU/US College Hockey Online Poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll on Monday.

The Broncos wrapped up the regular season with a sweep over Miami to finish in third place in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. The team finished with a conference record of 14-9-1, the most conference wins in a season since joining the NCHC back in 2013.

This is now the 13th consecutive week Western Michigan has spent inside the nation's top 10.

WMU hosts Omaha this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (if necessary) in the NCHC Quarterfinals.
