The Broncos went on the road and suffered their first sweep of the season, losing at No. 6 North Dakota 4-3 and 4-1.
In Friday's loss UND took a 3-2 lead into the second period. After scoring first WMU responded with a goal by Dawson DiPietro to tie it up at 1-1. The Fighting Hawks scored the next two to go up 3-1 but Brett Van Os' first career goal cut the lead in half.
