KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team dropped its fourth straight game, falling to Miami, 4-2, on Friday night at Lawson Ice Arena.
The Broncos (9-8-1, 5-4-0-0 NCHC) picked up goals from Hugh McGing and Corey Schueneman on the night. WMU outshot the RedHawks 34-25 but MU goalie Ryan Larkin made a game-high 32 saves. Western Michigan finished 2-for-5 on the power play, while Miami went 1-for-4.
The RedHawks took an early 1-0 lead on a goal 12:13 in the first period. Gordie Green scored from the left circle after a deflected puck bounced right to his stick.
