GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Western Michigan hockey team dropped its third straight game after suffering a 4-1 loss at No. 6 North Dakota on Saturday night.

WMU's lone goal came from freshman forward Austin Rueschhoff. The Broncos (9-7-1, 5-3-0-0 NCHC) were outshot 25-20 and finished 0-for-3 on the power play. UND went 1-for-6 with the man advantage.

Western Michigan took a 1-0 lead at 8:33 in the second period on Rueschhoff's fifth of the season. Brett Van Os pushed the puck up to Rueschhoff and the big centerman took the puck into the slot and walked a defenseman to the net before burying it top-shelf.
