Hockey Extends Unbeaten Streak to Six Games After Win Over Omaha

KALAMAZOO, Mich. --- The 20th ranked Western Michigan hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to six games after a 3-2 win over National Collegiate Hockey Conference foe Omaha at Lawson Ice Arena on Friday night.

The Broncos (6-3-2, 2-0-1-1 NCHC) picked up two goals from junior forward Paul Washe and one from Austin Rueschhoff. Freshman goalie Brandon Bussi made 30 saves on the night to earn his sixth win of the season. UNO outshot WMU 32-25 on the night, while Western Michigan went 1-for-6 on the power play. The Broncos blanked Omaha on four power plays, including three minutes of a major.
