KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan hockey program has announced a schedule change for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Instead of the previously scheduled Friday/Saturday series against Michigan, the series will now shift to Thursday/Friday. The Wolverines will host on Thursday, October 23, and Lawson Arena will be the venue for the Friday, October 24 series finale.
The two teams split last season, with each program winning on home ice. WMU collected a 4-1 victory over the Wolverines in the early portion of the 2024-25 season. The Brown and Gold would go on to win the Penrose Cup, NCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship and NCAA National Championship.
