KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan senior cross country runner Hanne Christensen has been named the Mid-American Conference female Scholar Athlete of the Week.
This past Saturday, Christensen was crowned the individual champion of the 6K Black Race at the Pre-National Invitational in Louisville, Ky. The senior finished first overall in a field of 261 runners with a time of 20:48.5 and it is the third consecutive race she led the Broncos when competing this season. The overall finish is also her second this season with the other win occurring at the George Dales Invite on Sept.
