Gymnastics Wins Road Meet at UIC

CHICAGO – The Western Michigan gymnastics team went on the road and defeated UIC 195.300-194.200 Sunday in Chicago. It is the 10th highest score in program history for the Broncos, marking the second straight meet above a 195.000.

Sophomore Rachael Underwood posted a career-high 39.175 on the all-around, tying for the fifth-highest individual all-around score in school history. Underwood had three of her four events total a 9.800 or higher, led by her 9.850 on floor, where she tied for the individual title.

Senior Jessie Peszek, who came off a week in which she was named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week, had another standout performance on Sunday.
