EAST LANSING, Mich. – Multiple team and individual records were broken or tied on Saturday night, as the Western Michigan gymnastics team had its best score in program history, 196.725, while Michigan State ended up with the non-conference dual meet victory with a score of 197.575.
Junior Payton Murphy set the program record with an all-around score of 39.400. She scored a 9.900 on bars, 9.850 on beam, and a 9.825 on floor and vault.
The Broncos came out on fire in the first rotation on bars, as Murphy had the 9.
