KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team returns to action for the first time in 321 days as the Broncos host Northern Illinois to open the 2021 season on Sunday, January 24. The dual meet begins at 3 p.m.
Head coach Penny Jernigan's team saw a historic 2020 season interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but not before her Bronocs captured the 2020 Mid-American Conference regular season championship. WMU was 6-2 and 5-1 in MAC competition when the final regular season meet (at Iowa) and MAC Championships were canceled.
