DENTON, Texas – The Western Michigan gymnastics team had a stellar day on Sunday, posting the ninth-highest score in program history with a 195.375. It is the second time this season the Broncos have broken the 195 mark, previously doing so at Bowling Green.
Senior Jessie Peszek was the standout of the day for the Broncos, rewriting the record books both on bars and beam. She scored a 9.925 on bars, tops among all four teams at the meet. The score was not just a personal best, but also tied the Western Michigan program record, previously done just three times.
