CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team picked up wins over West Virginia and UW-Oshkosh at the Illinois Quad Meet on Saturday afternoon.
The host Illini beat the field with a 196.500. The Broncos (3-1) improved from their first meet of the season and scored a 196.500. WVU finished with a 195.050 and UWO had a 192.475.
"It was strong work on the road for us today," said head coach Penny Jernigan. "We're pleased with our 196 and know we are capable of more. We still have some work to do and it will be good to have a full week of training before the Next Level podium meet.
