Golf Sits Tied for Sixth at Marry Fossum Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. – After two rounds, the Western Michigan golf team sits tied for sixth place at the 34th annual Mary Fossum Invitational at Forest Akers West Golf Course on Saturday.

The Broncos shot a 36-hole total of 622 (+34) and are currently tied with Bowling Green. WMU sits just one stroke out of fifth place. The host Michigan State Spartans lead the tournament with a total of 563 (-13).

"We didn't play the way I know we can today," said head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher. "However, I am pleased with the learning we did have and the enthusiasm to keep working hard.
