IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Western Michigan women's golf team sits in sixth place after two rounds at the Diane Thomason Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course at the University of Iowa on Saturday.
The Broncos battled the cold the rain to a 36-hole total of 634 (+58) after a pair of 317's in the first and second rounds. The host Hawkeyes lead at 598 (+22), while North Dakota State and Southern Illinois are tied for second at 623 (+47). WMU also trails Northern Iowa by six strokes and Drake by three strokes.
"The weather and golf course played tough today and I know we have more in us as a team," said head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher.
