Golf Sits in Fifth at Ball State Cardinal Classic

YORKTOWN, Ind. – The Western Michigan golf team sits in fifth place at the Ball State Cardinal Classic at The Players Club golf course, with two individuals in the top 10, after the first two rounds of play on Monday.

The host Cardinals lead the tournament at 599 (+23), followed by IUPUI in second place at 602 (+26). Eastern Michigan and Bradley are tied in third place at 612 (+36). The Broncos got off to a rough start, shooting a 315 to open the first round but responded with a 299 in the second round, the third-best team round of the day, to sit at 614 (+54) through 36 holes.
