Golf Sees Improvement in Second Round of John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – The Western Michigan golf team saw improvements during the second round of the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club on Tuesday.

After a disappointing start, WMU shaved 21 strokes off of its opening round total to shoot a 312 and now sit tied for 15th after a 36-hole total of 645 (+69). All five Broncos shot better than they did in the first round, led by Jasmine Chee and her 76. Chee now sits tied for 22nd after two-round total of 155 (+11).

Senior Julia Champion shot seven strokes better in the second round and now sits tied for 51st with a total of 161 (+17).
