KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team heads south to Bluffton, S.C., for the third annual Low Country Invitational, hosted by Wingate University at the Crescent Pointe Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Broncos are the two-time defending champions of the tournament, which has grown in each of the past two years. The field will contain 14 teams, including two by the hosts. Eastern Michigan and Grand Valley State are new to the field for this year's tournament. The Bulldogs are coached by Western Michigan alum Erin Thorne, who starred for the golf team from 2003-07 and was a two-time Second Team All-MAC selection.
