Future Bronco Hannah Spitzley Repeats as AP Division 3 Player of the Year

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Future Western Michigan women's basketball student-athlete Hannah Spitzley earned Associated Press Division Three Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row this past season.

Spitzley averaged 14.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.2 assists during her senior campaign at Pewamo-Westphalia High School. The 5'10" guard also shot a staggering 58 percent from the field. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Spitzley guided the top-ranked Pirates to a 22-2 overall record and was set to play for a fourth straight regional championship.

During her junior campaign Spitzley led Pewamo-Westphalia to their first state championship after going an impressive 27-1.
