Former WMU defenseman Luke Bafia has signed with the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL, an affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames.
During his four seasons with the Broncos, Bafia appeared in 134 games while scoring 6 goals while earning 38 assists racking up 44 points. Bafia also blocked 299 shots during his time at WMU.
Bafia was named to the National Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Academic Conference Team in 2018 and 2019 during his tenure in Kalamazoo.
Kansas City is set to play its 20-21 season opener on Oct. 17th against the Tulsa Oilers.
