KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Former Western Michigan University men's basketball player Ben Handlogten has been elected to the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame's 2025 class will be inducted in ceremonies at Van Andel Arena this fall, with the date yet to be announced.
A native of Byron Center, Mich., Handlogten came to WMU after earning All-State honors at Grand Rapids South Christian High School. A four-year letterwinner for the Broncos from 1992-96, Handlogten burst onto the scene right away for the Brown and Gold, picking up a MAC All-Freshman Team selection in 1993.
