Broncos dive deep into bench early
After getting out to a fast 12-6 lead after the first media timeout led by five points from guard Michael Flowers, head coach Steve Hawkins went to his bench early on.
Shortly after the first timeout, Hawkins removed all of his starters from the game and inserted William Boyer-Richard, Chase Barrs, Rafael Cruz, Jr., Jared Printy and Patrick Emilien.
In a game against a Division III opponent in Aquinas Colege, it seemed like Hawkins wanted to get a lot of guys minutes and see how his bench players reacted early in the game.
