The Western Michigan hockey team will look to repeat and improve on their successful run last year that got them to the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Frozen Faceoff and the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Frozen Four tournament. Though, they were unable to move far throughout either tournament, the WMU hockey team has the confidence and skill to make this season an even greater one for fans and themselves to enjoy.
Coming into this season they lost several key components vital to their team. This includes Griffin Molino, who currently plays for the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, Sheldon Dries who was the captain last season and Matheson Iacopelli who was the leading scorer for the Broncos last season and currently plays for the Rockford IceHogs.
