COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan forward Ethen Frank has been named National Collegiate Hockey Conference Freshman of the Week for his performance in WMU's split at Miami.
Frank had three goals on the weekend and finished with a +2 plus/minus as the Broncos maintained a spot in the league's top four, sitting alone in third place. On Friday he netted his third goal of the season in a 4-2 loss against the RedHawks. On Saturday he single-handedly brought the Broncos back from a 2-0 deficit to tie it up at 2-2 with two goals in the second period.
