Donnie Ernsberger relying on his WMU career’s production to prove he can play in NFL

In his senior season, Ernsberger caught 34 passes for 394 yards and four touchdowns, and was named to the All-MAC second team. Ernsberger is also a powerful blocker and was key in Western Michigan’s run game success. WMU rushed for an average of 224.8 yards per game and scored a total of 26 touchdowns. They were the MAC’s third best rushing offense of the 2017-2018 season.

As an NFL prospect, Ernsberger is ranked at 29 among 90 other tight ends by nfldraftscout.com. At the NFLPA bowl, Ernsberger played in front of 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer.
