Defense Leads the Way in 27-24 Win Over EMU

Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. – In the 95th annual Western Michigan Homecoming game, the Bronco defense led the way with a key turnover, three sacks and eight tackles for loss as Western Michigan defeated Eastern Michigan, 27-24 on Saturday afternoon inside Waldo Stadium.

With the win the Broncos improve their overall record to 4-2 and 2-0 in Mid-American Conference play. WMU has won four straight games and begins MAC play 2-0 for the fourth straight year.

The Bronco defense was led by junior linebacker Alex Grace who recorded a game-high 12 tackles followed by juniors Drake Spears and Justin Tranquill with nine.
