OXFORD, Ohio – Senior Aniya Davis had a first place finish and a second place finish to highlight the Western Michigan track and field team's outdoor season-opener at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.
Davis won the discus with a new personal-best distance of 164' 2" (50.03m). Junior Madison Ochs also had a strong showing in the event, taking fifth place with a distance of 146' 5" (44.64m). Earlier in the day Davis took second overall in the hammer throw with another personal-best, this time reaching a 179' 3" (54.
