Davis, Dugan continue to develop as leaders for WMU basketball

Western Michigan Basketball is coming off of a season filled with big expectations and big disappointments. The Broncos were bounced out of the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament by Akron after reaching a 27-4 lead early in the first half. A controversial foul call in the final seconds of the game brought freshman guard Virshon Cotton of Akron to the line. Cotton would burry both free throws, sealing the 79-78 victory for the Zips and sending the Broncos home, subsequently ending the collegiate careers of center Drake LaMont and guard Thomas Wilder.

With their exits, senior forward Josh Davis looks to be a key piece in filling the void in leadership.
