SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Competing against some of the top teams in the nation, the Western Michigan cross country team was able to post some strong results at the Joe Piane Invite this morning. As a team, the Broncos finished 18th in the top race of the event.
For the third straight meet, Lily Overton led the way for the Brown and Gold, as she crossed the finish line in a time of 17:17.7. That marked her third straight meet with a PR. Following her was Lara Machado Pereira, who closed the race in a time of 17:27.
