KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan cross country team heads to East Lansing for the 39th annual Auto-Owners Spartan Invitational sponsored by Playmakers on Friday at Forest Akers East Golf Course.
The Broncos will take part in the 6k race at 11 a.m., the team's first 6k race of the season. WMU is one of 30 collegiate women's teams competing in the race.
After falling to Eastern Michigan to open the season last Friday, WMU looks for improvements in a race that has been a staple on its schedule. Last season it was Paisley Sipes who paced the team, running a time of 23:38.
