On Friday night, the Broncos dropped the first game of two by a score of 3-1.

During the first period, both teams' offenses, which are two of the hottest in the NCHC and the country, were quiet as both played a scoreless first period.

That changed during the second period. The Broncos surrendered two goals to dig itself a 2-0 hole going into the third period.
