KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Senior third period-goal was the difference in Western Michigan's 3-2 victory over Miami on Friday night at Lawson Arena.

After some back-and-forth action to begin the game, Miami netted the game's first goal just over six minutes in to take a 1-0 lead. Not even 30 seconds later, however, Miami was sent to the penalty box for hooking.
