AMES, IOWA – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up the first day of competition at the 2017 Iowa State Classic and the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday night.
Over at Iowa State freshman Madison Meredith took fifth overall after running a time of 7.64 seconds. In the 200-meter dash senior Naiomi Dulaney turned in an indoor personal-best time of 25.11 seconds.
At GVSU redshirt freshman Gabrielle Collins had a personal-best distance of 19' 3.25" to win the long jump. It was the first time in her career she eclipsed 19'.
