MILAN – Chelsea senior Ronnie Buford is just beginning his second season playing on the defensive line.
He is still learning on the job, coach Brad Bush likes to put it. But what the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder might still lack in experience, he can make up for with his athleticism.
In the Bulldogs 27-7 season-opening win at Milan on Friday, Buford showed glimpses of why four Division I schools offered him a scholarship in the past year, despite not starting as a junior until the sixth game of the season.
Buford, a Western Michigan commit, had one sack, two pass-breakups and multiple tackles for loss on Friday.
