KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) announced its weekly awards this afternoon, with Western Michigan's Alex Bump, Sam Colangelo and Cameron Rowe earning individual honors.
Colangelo earned the league's Forward of the Week award after an excellent series against No. 19 Omaha. In total, he had four points on two goals goals and two assists. He tied for the NCHC lead in points for the week.
In Friday's game, Colangelo netted two goals en route to a 6-1 victory. He then followed that up by tallying assists on both WMU goals the next night.
