Broncos Upend No. 3 Wolverines in Series Finale

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team picked up a 5-2 win over No. 3 Michigan on Friday night at Lawson Arena. The win pushed WMU to 4-2-0 overall.

Grant Slukynsky lit the lamp twice, while Liam Valente, Zack Sharp and Bobby Cowan each found the back of the net once. Ty Henricks was sensational, dishing out three assists. In net, Hampton Slukynsky made 28 saves to earn the win.

The Wolverines were sent off early for too many men on the ice, giving WMU the game's first power play.
