Broncos’ track team hopes well rounded roster will bring home a outdoor championship

“It was a really good opening meet. One of the things you’re looking for out of your first meet is nice weather, and you want to get some good opening marks on the board...it was really good competition. We saw some schools we don’t typically see around here - University of Texas, University of Houston, Rice University and a lot of those southern schools. So it was good for us to get out and just kind of shake the rust off from between the indoor and outdoor seasons,” head coach Kelly Lycan said.

Lycan was impressed by his team’s performances during the opening meet and attributes it to having a well rounded roster of competitors as opposed to being a school that specializes in one area of the sport.
