Freshman goaltender Ben Blacker got the start for the Broncos, and after giving up two goals in Friday night’s game, Blacker got his third shutout of the season.
“They’re doing a really good job getting in front of pucks,” Blacker said. “When you’re only facing 25 shots, especially with the quality of shots that they do manage to get in from the outside, it makes my job really easy.”
The Broncos played a strong defensive game, blocking 11 shots and limiting the chances from Colorado. Blacker recorded 25 saves in last night’s win and senior forward Sheldon Dries led the team with 4 blocks.
