Broncos sweep No. 20 Ferris State in first series of the season

In Thursday night’s matchup in Big Rapids, Mi, the Broncos won by a score of 5-3. The next night, when the Broncos returned home to Lawson Ice Arena, the score was 2-1 in the Bronco’s favor.

“We played six good periods of hockey to start the season,” head coach Andy Murray said.

Thursday night’s game saw an offensive showdown where the Broncos never trialed.

The first goal came off the stick of sophomore defenseman Corey Schueneman. He fired it past the Ferris State goal tender after junior forward Aidan Muir found him near the net.

After Ferris tied it at one, junior forward Frederik Tiffels found the back of the net after batting in hi s own rebound.
