Broncos Sweep Major MAC Awards, Earn 7 All-MAC Selections

CLEVELAND -- For the first time in the history of the Mid-American Conference, one team took home the MAC Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and the Vern Smith Leadership Award and that program was Western Michigan.

Redshirt sophomore quarterback Broc Lowry was tabbed MAC Offensive Player of the Year, while senior defensive end Nadame Tucker earned both the MAC Defensive Player of the Year and the Vern Smith Leadership Award as the MAC's overall Most Valuable Player. Finally, head coach Lance Taylor was voted the MAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Broncos to a 7-1 record in conference play and finishing atop of the MAC standings.
