CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Western Michigan softball team split its two games at the USF Under Armour Series Saturday. The Broncos dropped game one to Villanova, 5-2 and then bounced back with a 11-0 run-rule victory over the University of Hartford.
WMU jumped on the Wildcats in the top of the third as the Broncos batted through six and took a 2-0 lead. Villanova took the lead in the bottom of the third scoring three runs on four hits and one error. The Wildcats added two more runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 5-2.
