Broncos soccer makes thrilling comeback in season opener

The Broncos played an exciting first 45 minutes of soccer yet carried the weight of a 2-0 deficit into the break. Despite being maintaining better possession and out working LIU at both ends the Broncos were consistently caught in awkward positions which lead to missed chances early on. With the Broncos erratic play, LIU was able to score both of their first half goals off of the Bronco’s defensive mistakes.

LIU scored their first goal off the back off a strong run from redshirt junior, Romario Guscott, after a cross he sent into the box. Junior Rasmus Hansen finished the play with redshirt senior goalkeeper Drew Shepherd in a poor position to make the save.
