KALAMAZOO, MI -- Western Michigan athletic teams took to the courts and ice last weekend and had varying degrees of success. Here's a recap on all the action.
Men's hockey
The Broncos hockey team completed a two-game sweep of Colorado College at Lawson Ice Arena with a 4-2 win Friday night and a 3-0 shutout Saturday.
Freshman goalie Ben Blacker had 32 saves Friday and 25 Saturday and earned his third shutout of the season.
Frederik Tiffels, Griffen Molino, Colt Conrad and Aaron Hadley scored goals Friday night while Sheldon Dries, Molino and Hadley scored Saturday evening.
