Both teams are coming in on three-game winning streaks after having dropped their first two, and Buffalo’s first loss was to former Western head coach P.J. Fleck and the University of Minnesota. In Buffalo’s first MAC game last weekend, they squeaked by 1-4 Kent State University 27-13 in a game that Buffalo was winning just 20-13 at halftime.
Buffalo averages just above 23 points per game, while Western averages just over 37, so Western has a great chance to keep it’s dominant offense rolling.
“It gives us the confidence that they’re not a high scoring team, but it also gives us the awareness that we can go out and stop them every single down,” defensive end Eric Assoua said.
