Coming into the game 0-2 against the Vandals who are 1-1, Western will look to get their passing game moving after having two frustrating games. “I think there’s a lot of frustration. We go in and expect to win every game,” head coach Tim Lester said.
“Being 0-2, I think we played two good teams, but I don’t think that affects us much. We know what we’re capable of; we just have to be able to consistently do it. It’s ‘When can we do it consistent?’ And that’s what we’re working on right now.”
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jon Wassink has had a slow start to the season, passing for just 146 yards and no touchdowns.
